Regal Guitars was founded in 1896 in Indianapolis, IN; it became defunct in 1954. While today Regal has become synonymous with the resonator guitar, it also made many acoustic guitars before WWII. This is one of them. Made by Regal in the 1930s, this all-birch brown sunburst round neck has been converted to a Hawaiian lap style guitar. With solid headstock, replacement aluminum bridge, new raised nut.
There is a filled crack on the back. The tone is just wonderfuldeep, rich, satisfying.
