1930's VINTAGE SUPERTONE RED SUNBURST FINISH PARLOR GUITAR, HARMONY MADE, MY GUESS IS IT WAS BUILT IN THE Early 1930's BASED ON THE LABEL BUT THE ACTUAL DATE IS A BIT OF A GUESS. This is a cool old guitar, built in Chicago I would guess in the early 30's these usually have a date inside, I couldn't see the date and the label is about gone. The fret are likely original and show wear. This may have been used as a slide guitar and considering it has a hawaiian scene on the top it is very likely that it was built as a Slide guitar. So for those reasons I did not re set the neck many people want to turn them into a spanish style guitar and others want them as they were built as a slide guitar so you decide you can use it for display as it is or you can reset the neck. This has the original hawaiian scenes that were applied to the top originally at the factory. Built by Harmony, Supertone was the Brand name the Sears company used in those days.

It is in Fair condition overall, it would be a Very nice display guitar. The neck is a little loose but still in place the top has no cracks but it is distorted/ warped see pics. The back has a repaired crack and the bridge has a repaired crack. And it is missing at least on brace inside the body. The tuners are Nice and original and work fine.

I installed a new set of strings it is playable in the open positions but the action is to high farther up the neck. Has a nice set of vintage tuners, likely original.

This comes with NO case. Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The guitar would be a nice addition to a collection as display piece as it is.

From my inspection I believe this guitar is all solid woods most harmonys from this era were. It will be well packed.
